It has been a tough start to the year for me. I had some terrible pain during an early February race that became a full-blown injury. So even though I haven't been running like I've wanted to, I've still been getting sweaty indoor cycling, and working on my upper-body strength so I can become a person who does pull-ups!
The real highlight of my workout life this month has been my new Handful Y-Back sports bra. I got a chance to try out this brand that I've been following for a while and I think I'm sold. I was in need of a new sports bra and have tried several brands over the past year or so. Nothing has really knocked it out of the ballpark - until now.

I had checked out Handful before, but their standard adjustable sports bra looked like it had too thin of straps to be a good running bra... enter the Y-Back. This bra is both comfortable and supportive enough for a long run. I have now worn and washed it at least once a week for a whole month and it is still super soft. My favorite part, though, is that the straps have this cute eyelet pattern down the center - a nice girly touch on what is usually an un-flattering piece of apparel.
But that's the thing about Handful - they want you to be supported AND still look cute in your workout gear. It's been a while since I've posted a #sportsbrasquad photo before my recent show-offs of the Handful bra; if the reactions are any indication - it's hitting the mark.
Nitty gritty details: no chafing from this sports bra. But even more than that, the best thing about it - in comparison to similar sports bras I have from other brands - is that the elastic band does not pinch. You know the sports bras: raw elastic around the bottom (looks cool, feels awful). Nothing but smooth-as-butter fabric around the elastic of this Handful bra. Definitely a big difference-maker for me.
So I've had the pleasure of taking this thing for a test drive, now it's your turn! If you are ready to end your sports bra woes, use code BIBRAVE20 over at handful.com to get 20% off of your order! Me: I'm 5'7" and 160-ish pounds. I got a Large and it fit perfect; color is eclipse. Let me know how much you love yours!
